Our House Blend is a mid-fire recycled clay body thats been salvaged, mixed, and made workable again by our studio team. This clay is best suited for throwing. Due to the reclaim process, it has slightly reduced plasticity and is not recommended for detailed sculpting or handbuilding. It will feel and behave differently than brand-new clay from our manufacturers (Standard, Laguna).

By collecting, reprocessing, and reusing clay scraps that would otherwise be discarded, we significantly reduce waste and extend the life of our materials. Reclaiming clay is a core sustainability practice in our studio and allows us to offer an environmentally responsible, cost-effective option for making.

Please note: Each batch of reclaimed clay will vary. The blend is made from trimmings and scraps collected from our trimming buckets and slop bins, so color, texture, and surface quality may shift depending on the clay bodies in use at the studio. Because we frequently work with speckled clays, the clay often contains visible specks.
